Marketing

What is Marketing?

Marketing is one of the most misunderstood yet highly lucrative skills a person can master.  By definition, marketing covers everything from the creation of the product or service through various advertising and delivery phases to the end result of the product or service in the hands of a satisfied consumer.  It includes such things as making yourself and what you are offering widely known and thought well of, finding the public who want your product or service, or creating that want so they will buy.

Network Marketing

Most people think network marketing is coming up with a clever way to advertise their product with one long page that gets someone to buy.  That is not marketing, especially if you plan to build your business into a major concern that will last.  To do that, you will need these five main parts:

1.  Your own personalized, customizable websites and capture pages.
2.  Your own list of prospects and a way to follow up and stay in touch with them.
3.  A streamlined sales funnel of affiliated sales tools.
4.  A duplicatable marketing system that you can plug your new distributors into with the latest and most lucrative strategies.
5.  A natural, automated way to get your primary program in front of your prospects.

To keep things SIMPLE, there is ONE place where you can get trained on the above while you set up and run your marketing campaigns.  No matter what company, service or product  you are involved in, My Lead System PRO and its comprehensive training program is the answer.  The team at MLM Lead System PRO (MLSP) stay up to date on all methods of marketing, pull all your networking marketing needs together under one roof and turn all your marketing tools into affiliate income.

Below is a video by one of the co-founders, Norbert Orlewicz, to explain these points of MLSP.

FREE ADVERTISING

Free advertising includes such systems as social networking, article writing, safelists, business networking, video production, classified advertising, affiliate marketing and more.  Each one should be mastered before going on to the next one.  Let’s take a cursory look at each one separately:

Social Networking — If you have set up your social network site for family and friends, don’t use that one.  Set one up that is for networking with like-minded people who are in interested in a home business.  Use your own name or the name of your business.  I recommend your own name as that is part of “branding” yourself on the web.  When people search your name, you want it to show up with credibility.  There are disadvantages to social networking such as “noise.”  That’s when you open up your Facebook, My Space, Twitter and get a great deal of messages from others trying to sell you on THEIR business.  To master social networking, I recommend getting on Kevin Hokoana’s or Jim Chao’s mailing list.  This will get you a series of emails training you on what they did that was successful in capturing the attention of the social networking crowd.  It will also give you access to important webinars.

Article Writing:  “Automatic Article Submitter” which is not free but definitely worth the price.  It automates signing up with internet magazines, supplies a long list of ezines, names the most important ones, gives their Alexa ratings, offers many time-saving features such as “spinning” (rewriting an article in many different words), automatic submission feature that can be regulated as to how many submissions per day and more.  Article writing is by far the most economical and lucrative way to reach your public and find your team.  Not only can you research and provide useful information but also there is no better way to get your name out there.  In article writing, quantity matters.  I recommend several people to mentor you on this technique.  David Wood and Josh Spaulding and his book “Article Marketing Domination.”

Safelists –  There are so many safelists that listing them here would take up the whole page.  Basically, it is a way to get “hits” on your website in exchange for you looking at other people’s websites.  They are not all the same but most will allow you to upgrade so that you can pay for other advertising services.  This is usually not more than $30 per month.  Most will create a large number of emails being sent to you.  You will want to set up a separate email just for this traffic.

Business Networking — These services are like social networking except that they are designed for and service network marketers.  These include places like Adland Pro, Ecademy, Better Networker, Orange Leads and many others.  Most offer free classified advertising and blogging.

Free Classified Advertising — Again, there are many of these.  The best utilization of free classifieds is to offer a free report or other free information report.  Trying to sell your product or company outright with a classified ad is not usually very successful.

Affiliate Marketing — This is a huge subject in itself.  You can make an entire business out of being an affiliate for a successful company.  MLM Lead System PRO ties this type of marketing into its system.  Bottom line is that whenever you use a company’s service and find it useful, you should become an affiliate and promote them or promote them along with your business.  It provides you with another income source while you help others.  A good tip is to always make sure you are satisfied with that company or service before you recommend it to others.

Video Marketing –  This is a technique in itself with many available avenues to take.  By far, You Tube has been the leader in this area.  Norbert Orlewicz has mastered this technique.  There are also services available to help you such as Hub, Easy Tech video and others.  My Lead System PRO has a number of tutorials delivered by Norbert that you can study during your $1 free trial.

You Need an Identity

WEBSITE:  You need a website.  If you are serious about becoming successful as a network marketer, this is not an arguable point. Many people try to make money with a “capture page,” “squeeze page” or “splash page.”  Some have even brought in tens of thousands of dollars this way.  However, this is not a workable way to make long-term residual income.  Same thing with a “replicated site” common in multi-level marketing or a do-what-I-do type business.  You are given the rights to a “replicated site” but you are in competition with everyone else who has the same presentation.  There is no way for you to “stand out from the crowd.”  There are uses for a “splash page” or “capture page” but they should always point back to your own domain and website and provide you with leads and a customer base.

How do you get a website? Unless you are trained on website building, this is one place where you will have to break out the wallet and put out some cash.  It costs from $100 to $300.  I recommend that you choose someone with whom you can work easily.   Building you website equates to designing your office or your personal presentation of your business. It is a rare commodity to find someone who adds to your own sense of creativity and understands what you want done.  You do not need someone who talks to you in a condescending manner because you are not as technically adept as they are. You should take a look at other websites such as Mike Dillard’s Magnetic Sponsoring, personal blogs, social networks and that will give you ideas for your own sites. With your website, you have about 10 seconds to interest someone.

I recommend http://quixoticmedia.org.  David is a real people person and easy to work with.  His rates are very reasonable and the work he did for me never needed to be redone.  He was patient with my technical ignorance and did not mind explaining things in layman terms.

Avoid Technophobia

Speaking of terms, lets get a few of them out of the way.

1.  What is a domain? A domain is your identity or address on the internet.  It is your “url” or “link” and can be forwarded to or associated with a website page or blog or even a single advertising page.  Domains can cost anywhere from $1 to $100 a year depending on the supplier and what type you get.  I recommend a .com or .net.  This is one of the steps you will walk through when you sign up with My Lead System PRO.

2.  What is a website or blog? Your domain name needs to be directed toward a page or pages on the internet.  If it is “parked,” all you will see when you type in the address is an error message or a message from the company who sold you the domain.  That page is called a site.  It can be called a blog site or a web site.  The best “website” or “blog” is supplied by WordPress.  You can get a blog for free but you won’t be able to advertise a money-making concern on it.  To set up a site on which you can advertise for money-making concerns, you need hosting for the site.

3.  What is hosting? Hosting is when a number of companies share the costs and technical services of a place that “houses” and maintains the files.  Some hosting services charge by the month, such as Host Gator, while others will charge by the year.  You can expect to pay $50 a year or $8 a month depending on where you decide to get your service.

4.  You will also need an FTP — FTP is Files Transfer Protocal.  You can get this for free.  FTP lets you put files on your site.  It downloads and pretty much sets itself up.  I recommend FileZilla but hopefully you contacted David at http://quixoticmedia.org if you don’t know what this all means.  There are also free WordPress tutorials and forums.

Congratulations!  You have a website and an identity.  Now what?

5.  What do I do with my website? You have hopefully put your picture on your website and introduced what you want people to know about.  Now you simply refer people to it and set up a web of links with this main website or blog at the center.  It is probably a good idea to sit down with a pencil and paper and draw how you will refer all your social networks, article writing and other advertising back to your site.

I am very impressed with the article I have just read. I wish the writer of http://www.cherylcurrie.com can continue to provide so much useful information and unforgettable experience to http://www.cherylcurrie.com readers. There is not much to tell except the following universal truth: In every plate of chips there is a bad chip. I will be back.
